Arizona Got Cats was created to address a critical need in the Phoenix Metro Area. There are an estimated 500,000 un-homed, community cats in Maricopa County primarily being cared for by low-income, kind-hearted members of the community. These colony caregivers will go without food for themselves in order to keep their colonies fed and healthy.
No one should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding a homeless animal.
Arizona Got Cats is run by two friends, Jennifer and Kristie, who have been active members of the rescue community for decades. Jennifer has 25+ years of experience with TNR (trap, neuter, return) and personally cares for 6 colonies totally 160 cats each evening. Kristie has a special interest in street kittens and has fostered many a spicy mama and her littles. She has done plenty of TNR herself and cares for a colony of cats that have made her backyard home.
Our goal is to provide colony managers with affordable, high quality cat food on a consistent bases. Cats deserve full bellies as do their caregivers.
